Restaurant Georges
Georges Grillade & Bar is a casual celebration of people, food and different art forms. From the eclectic food and beverage menu, through its contemporary décor to a vibrant energetic sound, Georges provides a most unique venue for spontaneous gatherings or planned nights out. During the summer months, its fun filled Patio/BBQ creates a party sensation that is second to none.
Georges is much more than a restaurant, it is an on-going celebration.
Their vision
The owners of the restaurant wanted to project the same image that their restaurant was projecting; innovation. They wanted the clients to be able to easily navigate through the menu and have a constant grasp of what the restaurant is aiming for. Also since the restaurant has three different sections that range from a lounge to a more discreet area near a fireplace the owners wanted to give the people who browsed the site a better grasp of the ambiance that makes the Restaurant Georges so unique.
Our solution
We decided to go with a design that was unique in its genre, like the restaurant. It is one of the only widescreen designs we've done since they add a certain level of complexity and aren't needed in all situations. This gave them the possibility of easily showing the website on any Flat Screen Televisions.
We also added a horizontal picture scrolling tool which had professional shots of the restaurant and its staff. The continually scrolling images gave a fresh look to the site.
The menu is built so that it can be fully managed later on via a Content Management System which will make it cheaper in long term for the owners to add this option later on if desired.
